The Othmer Library is open to researchers by appointment only. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm (except major holidays) and must be made and confirmed 24 hours in advance.

Your appointment request form should include any accommodation requirements and a list of all materials you plan to view, especially rare books and archival collections, as these can take more time to retrieve. Our librarians will bring your requested items to you in our reading room when you arrive.

Travel grants are available for those who reside at least 75 miles (120 km) from Philadelphia and wish to spend 1–2 weeks conducting research in our collections. Apply here.
