Miranda Bennett

Philanthropy Manager

Miranda Bennett joined the Science History Institute’s development team in 2024 as philanthropy manager. She has a wide range of development experience, most recently as a fundraising writer and researcher for RedBud Consulting. She spent seven years as public engagement manager of Encyclopedia Virginia at Virginia Humanities where she interacted with diverse audiences as a trained interviewer and developed a deep understanding of constituent needs and motivations. With two years of experience as an assistant producer and freelance reporter at Central Virginia public radio stations, Miranda brings a great interest in storytelling to her fundraising work. She obtained a BA in history from Bryn Mawr College and an MSc in anthropology and economic development from the London School of Economics.
