Finn Arne Jørgensen
Science History Institute Senior Fellow
Finn Arne Jørgensen is a professor of environmental history at University of Stavanger, Norway. His research is placed at the intersection of technology and environment, drawing on history, digital humanities, media studies, and science and technology studies to explore technologically mediated relationships with nature. He has published two monographs on environment and infrastructure: Making a Green Machine (2011) and Recycling (2019). He currently co-directs the Greenhouse Center for Environmental Humanities at University of Stavanger, with Dolly Jørgensen. During his Science History Institute fellowship, he will use the collections to explore how board games address the intertwined issues of environmental change and social change through the lens of green transitions.
