Emilie Haertsch

Emilie was the Institute’s communications coordinator from August 2015 to November 2018. She oversaw print and web communication for outreach and events and also did writing and editing for the Institute. Emilie is a humanities devotee and previously worked at the University of Pennsylvania, the Massachusetts Historical Society, and the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. She received her BA in English from Temple University and her MFA in creative nonfiction from Goucher College; her writing has appeared in the Huffington Post, Brevity, Apiary Magazine, and the Raleigh Quarterly.
