Daniel Joseph Walls

Dan Walls is an environmental scientist focused on investigating the scientific and sociopolitical aspects of pollution, environmental degradation, and their connections to public and environmental health. As a short-term fellow at the Science History Institute, he investigated community-engaged projects working to prevent exposure to lead in urban soils and draw lessons for how such projects can coordinate and grow to meet the broader scale of lead contamination.

Dan received his PhD in chemical engineering at Stanford University in 2018.
