Anna Doel

Anna Doel (PhD, University of Minnesota, HSTM) is a historian of science and culture. Her research interests include the history of Earth and environmental sciences, history of Russian/Soviet science, international academic communication in the 20th century, and application of oral history practices to the history of science. She has received grants and awards from the Geological Society of America; the American Meteorological Society; the Association for Slavic, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies; the Consortium for History of Science, Technology and Medicine; and held postdoctoral fellowships at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and the American Philosophical Society. She is currently a historian at the American Institute of Physics.
