Science History Institute

This First Friday, we’re putting the “fun” in education! Join us and explore science learning through the decades, from vintage textbooks and unique periodic tables, to funky (and occasionally hazardous) chemistry sets and other science toys.

You’ll also get to peer inside real scientists’ laboratory notes and other rare texts from our special collections, go on a scavenger hunt, and make a craft to take home!

About First Fridays

Spark your curiosity while exploring the exhibits after hours! First Fridays bring together a myriad of activities covering everyday science, historical oddities, and everything in between. Grab your friends, and kick off an evening of discovery, surprise, and a little nerdy fun.
